On this evening - the 8th of its kind - we welcomed Mr. Robert Hirst, Chairman of Moomin Monogatari Ltd., to speak about the popularity of the Moomin characters in Japan, as well as the events leading up to the creation of the theme park, Moomin Valley Park, which opened in March earlier this year.

On October 21st, Norwegian Ambassador to Japan, Ms. Inga Nyhamar hosted a formal dinner with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway at the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo. The Crown Prince visited Japan to participate in Emperor Naruhito's official enthronement ceremony taking place on October 22nd.
