[Event report] Norwegian design met Japanese innovation — with a true taste of Norway!
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ), in collaboration with PLUS Corporation and partner NJS, hosted a special evening celebrating the intersection of Norwegian design and Japanese innovation. The event highlighted how Nordic design principles and sustainability are shaping the future of modern workplaces in Japan.
The event took place on Monday, 10 November 2025, at PLUS Corporation, 2F Yebisu Garden Place, Shibuya, Tokyo, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from both countries for an inspiring evening of dialogue and networking.
Speakers included Itaru Satori (PLUS/FLOKK), Kirsti Flørenes Vandraas (Opsvik), and Lars Lund (FLOKK), who shared insights and experiences from ongoing design collaborations between Norway and Japan. Their presentations provided practical examples of how design, sustainability, and innovation intersect in both cultures.
Special thanks were extended to the partners who brought authentic Norwegian flavors to the event: Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (salmon), TINE (brown cheese), Sigdal Bakeri – United Bakeries Norway AS (crispy bread), and Oslo Brewing Co. (craft beer).

在日ノルウェー商工会議所(NCCJ)は、プラス株式会社およびパートナーであるNJSと共催で、ノルウェーデザインと日本のイノベーションが融合する特別な夜を開催いたしました。本イベントでは、北欧デザインの哲学やサステナビリティが、日本の現代的な職場環境にどのように影響を与えているかをご紹介しました。
イベントは2025年11月10日(月)、プラス株式会社(恵比寿ガーデンプレイス2F、東京都渋谷区恵比寿4-20)にて開催され、両国のプロフェッショナルや関心を持つ方々が一堂に会し、刺激的な対話とネットワーキングの場となりました。
登壇者には、プラス/FLOKKのさとりいたる氏、Opsvikのクリスティ・フルレネス・ヴァンドラス氏、FLOKKのラーズ・ルンド氏をお迎えし、ノルウェーと日本のデザインコラボレーションの最前線で得た知見や経験を共有していただきました。デザイン、サステナビリティ、イノベーションの融合について、具体例を交えてご紹介いただきました。
