[Event report] 120 Years of Norway–Japan Relations & Hollywood’s 100th Anniversary

The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ), in collaboration with Hollywood Co., Ltd. and SBM Lab, hosted a special event on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at Roppongi Hills Hollywood Beauty Plaza 4F, Tokyo. The event celebrated the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Norway and Japan alongside Hollywood Co., Ltd.’s 100th anniversary, highlighting shared values of well-being, equality, and empowerment.

Taking place shortly after the appointment of Japan’s first female Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, the event explored how Norway’s experience in promoting well-being and gender balance can offer inspiration for Japan’s ongoing efforts toward women’s empowerment.

Speakers included Anette Yamamoto-Hansen from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Qun Li (山名群) from Hollywood Co., Ltd., and Mariko Fukui from Aalto International. Their presentations covered Norway’s approach to gender equality, as well as initiatives by Hollywood Co., Ltd. in fostering empowerment and creativity.

The evening featured a Hardanger violin performance by Rio Yamase (山瀬理桜) from Rion Corporation, a sushi presentation by Rion Sushi, and opportunities for participants to network and exchange ideas.

NCCJ extends special thanks to corporate sponsors Beckmann AS and Seafood Brands AS. Beckmann provided high-quality backpack giveaways, and Seafood Brands brought Norway’s finest salmon to enhance the culinary experience.

This members-only event successfully celebrated the long-standing Norway–Japan relationship, showcased cultural and business achievements, and fostered meaningful connections among participants.

在日ノルウェー商工会議所（NCCJ）は、Hollywood Co., Ltd.およびSBM Labと共催で、2025年10月21日（火）に六本木ヒルズ ハリウッドビューティープラザ4F（東京都港区六本木6-4-1）にて特別イベントを開催しました。本イベントは、ノルウェー・日本国交120周年とHollywood Co., Ltd.創立100周年を記念し、ウェルビーイング、平等、エンパワーメントといった共通の価値観をテーマに行われました。

日本初の女性内閣総理大臣・高市早苗氏の就任直後に開催された本イベントでは、ノルウェーのウェルビーイングやジェンダーバランス推進の取り組みが、日本における女性のエンパワーメントの推進にどのように示唆を与えられるかについても議論が行われました。

スピーカーには、在日ノルウェー大使館のアネッテ・ヤマモト＝ハンセン氏、Hollywood Co., Ltd.の山名群氏、Aalto Internationalの福井 麻里子氏が登壇。ノルウェーのジェンダー平等に関する取り組みや、Hollywood Co., Ltd.のエンパワーメント・クリエイティブ推進の活動について紹介しました。

イベントでは、Rion Corporationの山瀬理桜氏によるハルダンゲル・ヴァイオリン演奏や、Rion Sushiによる寿司プレゼンテーションも行われ、参加者同士のネットワーキングの時間も設けられました。
