[Event report] Norway Maritime Week in Japan 2025 (日本語訳あり)
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ), together with the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo, hosted Norway Maritime Week 2025, an engaging four-day program focused on maritime digital solutions and innovations.
The event took place from Monday, 17 November to Thursday, 20 November 2025, with the first two days held in Tokyo, including seminars, networking events, and a reception at the embassy. The week also featured meetings and site visits in Imabari, offering participants a comprehensive view of Norway–Japan collaboration in the maritime sector.
Norwegian companies—including NAVTOR, Dualog, SAYFR, BASSnet, DNV, Metizoft AS, and Pelagus 3D—presented cutting-edge solutions that improve safety, sustainability, and efficiency in maritime operations. Seminars and networking sessions facilitated the exchange of ideas and fostered connections between Norwegian innovators and Japanese stakeholders.
A special session with MTI provided insights into digital and green transition projects, highlighting how Norwegian maritime expertise can support Japan’s evolving regulatory and sustainability priorities.
Norway Maritime Week 2025 successfully demonstrated the strength of Norway–Japan maritime collaboration and offered valuable opportunities for knowledge-sharing and partnership development. The week concluded with thanks to all participants, and a special appreciation to MTI for hosting part of the program.

在日ノルウェー商工会議所(NCCJ)は、駐日ノルウェー大使館と共催で、「ノルウェー海事週間2025」を開催いたしました。本イベントは、海事分野のデジタルソリューションとイノベーションに焦点を当てた4日間のプログラムです。
イベントは2025年11月17日(月)から11月20日(木)にかけて開催され、最初の2日間は東京でセミナー、ネットワーキング、そして大使館でのレセプションが行われました。その後、今治での船主・運航会社とのミーティングや現地訪問を通じて、日本とノルウェー間の海事分野における協力の全体像を参加者にご紹介しました。
ノルウェー企業であるNAVTOR、Dualog、SAYFR、BASSnet、DNV、Metizoft AS、Pelagus 3Dが、海事業務における安全性、持続可能性、効率性向上のための最先端ソリューションを披露。セミナーやネットワーキングを通じて、ノルウェーのイノベーターと日本の関係者との間で活発な意見交換と連携の機会が生まれました。
特別セッションではMTIとともに、デジタル化とグリーントランジションに関するプロジェクト事例が共有され、ノルウェーの海事専門知識が日本の規制や持続可能性への取り組みにどのように貢献できるかが示されました。
「ノルウェー海事週間2025」は、日本とノルウェーの海事協力の強みを示すとともに、知見の共有や新たなパートナーシップ構築の貴重な機会となりました。参加者の皆様に感謝申し上げるとともに、プログラムの一部をホストしてくださったMTIにも特別な謝意を表します。
