在日ノルウェー商工会議所(NCCJ)は、ノルウェーの方々との円滑で効果的なコミュニケーションと協働を後押しする「Cultural Awareness Workshop – Norway 101(2025)」を開催いたします。
本イベントは次のような方に最適です。
• 日本国内のノルウェー企業で働くビジネスパーソン
• ノルウェーでの赴任や協業を予定している方
• ノルウェーのビジネスや社会について理解を深めたい方
ノルウェーと日本には多くの共通点がある一方で、日々のコミュニケーションやビジネスのやり取りに影響しうる重要な社会・文化の違いも存在します。これらを理解することは、より強固で生産的なパートナーシップの構築につながります。
本ワークショップでは、インタラクティブなプレゼンテーションやディスカッションを通じて、ノルウェーの文化・価値観・働き方・コミュニケーションの特性を紹介します。ノルウェーと日本の双方で実務経験を持つ登壇者からの一次の知見も共有します。

About the Event
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan is pleased to host the Cultural Awareness Workshop – Norway 101 (2025), designed to make communication and cooperation with Norwegians smoother and more effective.
This event is ideal for:
Professionals working for Norwegian companies in Japan
Individuals planning assignments or collaborations with Norway
Anyone interested in learning more about Norwegian business and society
While Norway and Japan share many similarities, there are also key social and cultural differences that can affect daily communication and business interaction. Understanding these differences helps create stronger, more productive partnerships.
The workshop will introduce participants to Norwegian culture, values, working style, and communication habits through interactive presentations and discussions — including insights from speakers with firsthand experience working between Norway and Japan.

About the guest speakers
David Andrew Quist
Dr. David Andrew Quist is an American-Norwegian fungus scientist, restaurateur, and food innovator with over 20 years of experience in food system sustainability. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California-Berkeley in fungal biology. His professional career includes roles at the University of Tromsø, the European Environment Agency. David served as a Norwegian representative to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity technical committees from 2010 to 2013, and helped craft the Nagoya Protocol.
In 2019, he launched an award-winning Nordic ramen restaurant in Oslo, focused on fermentation, organic products, and local food stories. In 2020, he co-founded Norwegian Mycelium (NoMy) with Google Executive Ingrid Dynna, to transform food industry byproducts into affordable, nutritious fungal proteins at scale, helping to create a more resilient protein supply. Today David is the Representative Director for NoMy Japan KK, where NoMy enables a new value chain of sustainable protein sources from fermentation and koji (the same fungus that gives us sake and miso).
David is a passionate cyclist and former member of the Norwegian National Cycling Team from 2011-2013.
Yuki ikeda
Yuki Ikeda joined INPEX in 2005. She has 20 years of experience in the energy development industry. Her specialty is finance and sustainability and she has extensive international experience. She worked for finance structuring and environment and social impact assessment in an LNG development project in Indonesia in 2008 – 2017, out of which she was based in Jakarta in 2010 – 2015. She served as Executive Director for an INPEX global finance and treasury company in Singapore in 2017 - 2021. In 2022, she was appointed as Managing Director of INPEX Idemitsu Norge and spent 3 years in Oslo focusing on development and production of oil & natural gas and promotion of cleaner energy such as offshore wind and carbon dioxide capture and storage projects. In 2024, she returned to INPEX headquarters in Tokyo to serve as Executive Officer, Vice President Europe & Middle East Project Division covering countries such as Norway, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Iraq.
Prior to joining INPEX, Ms Ikeda worked for Industrial Bank of Japan in Tokyo for corporate finance in 1990 – 1997 and the World Bank Group in Washington DC for project finance in 1997 - 2005. Ms Ikeda holds a Master of Science in engineering from Keio University in Japan and a Master of business administration from University of Rochester in USA.
