Cultural Workshop

What is the Cultural Workshop?

The cultural workshop is a seminar on Norwegian culture, society and business culture for the employees at NCCJ’s member companies. It is a 2-hour workshop followed by a Kahoot-quiz in which one has the opportunity to win Norwegian prizes. Topics such as Norwegian history, economy, social structures, meetings and business etiquette were can be expected to be covered throughout the session. Moreover, it is to be expected that several interesting discussions will arise throughout the workshop on the bases of the participants sharing useful experiences from working for a Norwegian company.

Karsten Stoltenberg, Country Director for Equinor New Energy Japan, stated the following about the workshop hosted at their company:

«Equinor’s newly established team in Tokyo, all non—Norwegians, interacts daily with colleagues in Norway. The ‘Norwegian culture seminar’, which was well prepared and executed by NCCJ, illustrated well the differences but also similarities in values, ways of thinking and business protocols in Norway and Japan. I am convinced that the seminar was a good investment and will contribute to an even better and smoother communication and collaboration between my team and our colleagues in Norway.»
