[Event Report] Meet Norwegian Rain

On October 26th NCCJ in cooperation with Norwegian Rain hosted a member seminar at the Norwegian Rain Flagship Store in Kanda. Our members' seminar series aims to promote the business and build closer connections between our NCCJ members, as well as the wider Norwegian-Japanese community.

Norwegian Rain founders T-Michael and Alexander Helle welcomed 11 NCCJ members for a casual talk session introducing the Norwegian Rain concept and the history of their activities in Japan. Norwegian Rain makes high-end, breathable raincoats  that, in their words, do not look like raincoats, and can be worn in any weather.

In addition to the story behind the brand and their creative partnership, they also introduced the hidden bar upstairs, which is available for NCCJ members for meetings and social gatherings.

Finally, T-Michael introduced the T-wabisato project in Noto in rural Ishikawa prefecture. The project aims to turn a renovated farmhouse into a creative residency and cultural hub for the region in cooperation with local artisans.

We sincerely thank Norwegian Rain for co-hosting this seminar and to all participants for coming.
