[Event Report] Office opening for AutoStore

AutoStore, a global leader in automated storage and retrieval systems, is celebrating a significant milestone in Japan - the opening of a new office in Tokyo.

Managing Director Masayuki Ataka and Chief Revenue Officer Mike Dickson from AutoStore, highlighted their year of remarkable growth, marked by a unique business model that has propelled them to a 50% growth rate over the last five years and expanded their presence to 50 countries.

This success story has been possible through collaboration and partnership. Sven Åge Hjorteland, VP of Sales in the Asia-Pacific region, expressed gratitude to Yoji Ishihara, Trade & Technology Office, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Japan, for helping AutoStore establish a presence in the Japanese market. Oddbjørn Lunde, Counselor, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Japan, commended AutoStore for contributing advanced technology to Japan and emphasized the importance of collective "Team Norway" in assisting companies in foreign market establishment.

Autostore's journey aligns perfectly with the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan's mission of fostering collaboration between Japan and Norway. Chairman Sven Haakon Kristensen delivered a speech, hailing this expansion as a shining example of what the chamber aims to achieve - stronger ties and partnerships. He also announced upcoming events designed to further deepen the connection between Japan and Norway, offering members valuable networking opportunities and pathways for collaboration.

Wrapping up the speeches, a traditional Japanese Kagami Biraki ceremony was held.
