About The Event
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, together with DCCJ, SCCJ, ISCCJ and FCCJ, invites students and young professionals to an inspiring evening of career-focused conversation and networking at Temple University Japan Campus.
The event will bring together representatives from Novo Nordisk Japan, IKEA Japan and Takanawa Travel to share practical insights into building an international career, developing leadership skills and succeeding in multicultural workplaces.
As workplaces continue to evolve, employers across industries are looking for people who can collaborate across borders, adapt to new environments and build relationships across cultures. Nordic companies in Japan are known for fostering inclusive workplace cultures, innovation and employee development, placing them in a strong position to offer valuable perspectives on the skills employers seek today.
Whether you are a student considering your first career move or a young professional looking to advance within an international organization, this event offers an opportunity to learn more about career development, workplace culture, leadership and navigating both Nordic and Japanese business environments.
The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and a relaxed networking reception. Participants will have the opportunity to connect directly with the speakers, representatives of the Nordic chambers, and fellow students and young professionals over light refreshments.
Meet the Panel
Natalie Ammerlaan
Vice President of People & Organisation, Novo Nordisk Japan
Natalie Ammerlaan is a global People & Organisation leader based in Tokyo whose career has taken her across Japan, Switzerland, Brazil, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Her professional experience spans People & Organisation, legal affairs, ethics and compliance, governance and business partnerships, giving her a broad perspective on what it takes to grow, lead and contribute in an international environment.
Known for building strong teams, developing leaders and helping organizations navigate change, Natalie brings a practical and human perspective to career development. She believes that succeeding internationally requires not only technical expertise and qualifications, but also curiosity, courage, adaptability, integrity and the ability to build trust across cultures.

Höskuldur Hrafn Guttormsson
Managing Director, Tokyo Office, Takanawa Travel K.K.
Höskuldur Hrafn Guttormsson, often known as Hoshi, is Managing Director of the Tokyo office of Takanawa Travel K.K., the company behind the travel technology platform Trip to Japan.
He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Originally from Iceland, he moved to Tokyo in 2016 to complete a master’s degree in International Business at Rikkyo University. Since then, he has developed his career in Japan through customer service, sales, marketing and leadership roles.
He will share his perspective on building both a career and a life across two very different business cultures.

Young Professional tickets are available only to participants between the ages of 20 and 35. Holders of these tickets must present a valid photo ID upon entry.
